We live in very
interesting times: politically, economically and spiritually. People’s hearts
seem to have grown cold; even among believers there seems to be little spiritual
passion or comitment. Anti-Semitism is on the rise throughout the world,
including here in America. The Jewish community just remembered the murder of
11 Jews last October, killed for being Jews while worshipping in their
Pittsburgh synagogue.
Pew Research just released
in October their most recent report on religious observance in America, citing
what they continue to see as the quickening of the dramatic decline in religious
faith among Americans, especially young people:
“Only about one-in-three Millennials say they
attend religious services at least once or twice a month. Roughly two-thirds of
Millennials (64%) attend worship services a few times a year or less often,
including about four-in-ten who say they seldom or never go. Indeed, there are
as many Millennials who say they “never” attend religious services (22%) as
there are who say they go at least once a week (22%).” https://www.pewforum.org/2019/10/17/in-u-s-decline-of-christianity-continues-at-rapid-pace/
How do we who profess
faith in G-d continue? How do we continue sharing faith in G-d when it seems that
no one is listening or responding? Messiah Yeshua stated, “When the Son of Man returns will he find
faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8) Yes, he will find some! We must
remain steadfast, trusting in G-d regardless of societies secular trend,
trusting that G-d will indeed save some!
Forward for Messiah!
